Can the body roll machine integrate with a physiotherapy treatment plan?
Yes. Many of our physio clients use the body roll machine as a passive recovery service that complements their treatment plans. Patients book the machine for general wellbeing and post-exercise recovery sessions either alongside or between hands-on physio appointments. It is a wellness service, not a clinical intervention.
Does a physiotherapist need to operate the machine?
No. The body roll machine is operated by a trained staff member, typically a clinic assistant or reception team member. Comprehensive operator training is included with every purchase. This is one of the reasons physio clinics use it: it generates revenue without consuming a physio’s billable hours.
What are the contraindications I should be aware of?
Standard wellness-machine contraindications apply, including pregnancy, recent surgery, active infection, deep vein thrombosis, and certain skin conditions. Full screening guidance is provided as part of staff training so your team can run a clear pre-session intake.
Is the service eligible for private health fund rebates?
Generally no. Body roll sessions are positioned as a wellness and recovery service, not a clinical physiotherapy treatment, so they fall outside private health fund rebate categories. We recommend pricing the service as a self-pay add-on or membership inclusion.
How much space is required to install a body roll machine?
The machine measures 1100mm long by 750mm wide by 800mm high. A treatment room of approximately 2m by 2m gives comfortable operating room for the machine, the operator, and the client. Many physio clinics convert an underutilised room into a body roll bay.
What does ongoing servicing and support look like?
Every machine ships with a 12-month registered Embod warranty (or 50,000 machine-minutes, whichever first). Claims go through a single written channel: remote diagnostics, virtual live assistance, parts shipped from our Brisbane warehouse, and return-to-base service if those don’t resolve it.
