When you visit our website or use our services, we may collect certain information from you, including:

Emery, Our AI Booking Assistant

Bookings and studio questions at Embod are handled by Emery, an AI assistant that reads and replies to text messages sent to 0489 272 648. When you text us, we collect your name, mobile number, the content of your messages, and your booking details such as the treatments you book, appointment times, and treatment credits on your account. If you tell us something about your health, for example a pregnancy, a recent surgery, or a medical condition that affects which treatments are right for you, we treat that as sensitive health information. We only collect it with your consent, we use it only to deliver your treatments safely, and we never use it for marketing.

Your messages are carried by our SMS provider and processed by an artificial intelligence service to understand your request and compose a reply. Your booking records are stored in our secure booking system. The providers we currently use are Twilio (SMS delivery), Anthropic (AI processing), Base44 (our booking system), n8n (workflow automation), and ActiveCampaign (our contact records). We share only what each provider needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes. Some of these providers process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives protection comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles wherever it is processed.

Our team can see conversations with Emery and can step in at any time. If you would rather deal with a person, just say so in the chat and a team member will take over. You can also call us on the same number, or email studio@embod.com.au.

We only send marketing texts or emails if you have opted in, and every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing from marketing never affects booking confirmations, reminders, or other messages you need for your appointments. We keep booking and message records for as long as we need them to run the studio and meet our legal obligations, and we destroy or de-identify what we no longer need. You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing studio@embod.com.au.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website or through other means of communication.
