A Body Roll treatment at Embod is a guided, 45-minute machine massage. It is not a class and you are not left to work out the equipment alone. Here is the full first-visit sequence.
Before the machine starts
We ask what brought you in and talk through anything relevant before you begin. Wear fitted activewear and socks. The treatment is done fully clothed, but loose fabric can catch against the rollers.
Next, we demonstrate the machine and the guided positions. We set the roller speed and pressure with you, and can change them if the treatment feels too light or too strong.
During the 45-minute program
- You move through 17 positions. The program works from feet to shoulders, with different areas placed against the warm wooden roller.
- The roller provides the movement. You use your position and body weight to control how much pressure you feel.
- Our team is nearby. Ask for help if you forget a position or want the settings changed.
- You can listen to something. Bring headphones if you would rather have music or a podcast while you complete the program.
What does Body Roll feel like?
The pressure is rhythmic and can feel deep. It will vary by position and setting, which is why we begin with a demonstration and adjust the machine with you. More pressure is not automatically better.
Body Roll is active compared with lying in the LED bed because you change position during the treatment. It is still a guided studio treatment, not a workout.
Is it the right first treatment for you?
Choose Body Roll if
You want a full-body, machine-based massage and are comfortable moving through guided positions.
Compare another option if
You want to lie still, focus only on your legs, or measure body composition and posture rather than book a massage treatment.
For a still, warm treatment, compare LED + infrared. For rhythmic pressure focused on the legs, see compression boots. For measurements and a report, see the VisBODY scan.
Body Roll is not manual lymphatic drainage
Body Roll is self-positioned and machine-based. Manual lymphatic drainage is a hands-on technique performed by a suitably trained practitioner. Embod offers Body Roll and does not provide manual lymphatic drainage.
Booking and price
New clients can book the Body Roll intro for $59. It includes the consultation, demonstration and full 45-minute treatment. A single Body Roll treatment is $79. If you plan to return, compare the flexible Body Roll + LED treatment packs before choosing.
If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, managing a health condition or unsure whether the equipment is suitable, email studio@embod.com.au before booking. We may ask you to check with your treating clinician.
